Peter Allen sings "Tenterfield Saddler". Peter was born in Tenterfield and his Grandfather, George Woolnough was the saddler. In the song, Peter sings "And he married a girl with an interesting face", the girl was Liza Minelli. Peter died at an age that was far too young and with many unwritten songs.

Bald Rock National Park – rises 260 metres above the surrounding bushland and is a massive 750 metres long and 500 metres wide – the largest exposed granite monolith in the southern hemisphere. Mt Lindesay Road is sealed from Tenterfield to Bald Rock. Only 15 Camping sites, facilities include toilets, BBQs.

Frederick Wordsworth Ward (aka Captain Thunderbolt) (1835 – 25 May 1870) was an Australian bushranger renowned for escaping from Cockatoo Island, and also for his reputation as the "gentleman bushranger" and his lengthy survival, being the longest roaming bushranger in Australian history. His hideout in Tenterfield was used during his travels through NSW.

The story is that a can of film was dumped at a tip, recovered by someone who then held onto it for many years before realizing what it was; then handed it to NFSA in the early 1990s. This excerpt is all that remains of the film made in 1910 and starring John Gavin. The movie was made as a silent movie.
